In the first of what we hope will be a successful lunchtime series, ‘Provocations and Inspirations’, was held on Tuesday, 22 October at the Union, University and Schools Club (UUSC).

Dr Ken Henry AC, the former Treasury Secretary, addressed an audience of over 40 members of the RSNSW and UUSC. His talk, titled ‘Inequality in Australia‘ was a magisterial survey of the challenges facing the Australian economy. He identified tax reform, our lack of preparation for the 21st Asian century, and rising inequality as major challenges. He argued that in creating a just society we need to think not just of those now alive and voting but also of future generations.
