The Royal Society of NSW holds regular monthly meetings in Sydney and in the Southern Highlands of NSW. The meetings in Sydney are held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Union University and Schools Club, 25 Bent Street Sydney at 6:00 for 6:30 pm, except in January when there is no meeting.

The meetings of the Southern Highlands Branch are generally held on the third Thursday of the month at Chevalier College Burradoo starting at 6:30 pm.

Meetings are open to all and comprise a public lecture on current ground-breaking research across all disciplines, especially where there is cross-fertilisation across and between disclines. Our lecturers are the top people in their field and so our meetings offer a unique opportunity to engage with the latest research being carried out in NSW and beyond.

The Society also hosts special named lectures in specific disciplines, such as the biennial Liversidge Research Lecture in Chemistry and the Poggendorff Memorial Lecture in agriculture/horticulture.
