A hybrid memorial event organised by Engineers Australia

Please join us as we take the opportunity to pay our respects to the contributions and achievements of Emeritus Professor Robin King following his, and his wife Penny’s, tragic passing on 25 July 2022.  The evening will be an opportunity to share stories with those that were privileged to know Robin during his professional career.

This event is supported by the organisations to which Robin made a significant contribution, including Engineers Australia, the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering, the Australian Council of Engineering Deans, the University of Technology Sydney,  the University of South Australia, and the Royal Society of NSW.

There will be a four-person panel, hosted by Professor Archie Johnston, comprising of Professor Andrew Parfitt FRSN FTSE, Dr Julia Vonwiller, Emeritus Professor Mary O'Kane AC FRSN FTSE HonFIEAust, and Emeritus Professor Elizabeth Taylor AO FTSE HonFIEAust FTSE. 

Event Program

6.00 pm — arrival and registration for the in-person event
6.30 pm — webinar and panel starts
7.30 pm — webinar concludes and light refreshments commence
8.30 pm — in-person event concludes

Registration process

Registration is through the Engineers Australia (EA) website.  The "register" button takes you to the EA portal which requires an EA login ID.  If you do not have an EA ID, you can create a new account from the portal and then enter your contact details etc.  After that, you can use your EA ID to login to the event registration page, on the "cevents" website.  From there, you can choose to register either for the in-person event at the EA offices or the online event.
